Scianna is a family business, an artistic workshop, headquartered in Palermo, Italy. Its founder, Antonio Maurizio Scianna, graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts. The areas of his expertise include the history and manufacturing techniques of the floor majolica in Sicily in the 17-19th centuries, as well as the iconography of the Mediterranean. The artistic workshop was established in 1999. Since then Scianna has won the fame of the top-rank manufacturer of the magnificent cotto tile using the traditional methods and materials. Moreover, Scianna is famous for more important projects, such as the reconstruction of ceramic tile floors in several palazzoes in Palermo and Bagheria. In line with extensive portfolio of standard articles, the workshop receives individual orders of any complexity and sophistication.
